Description
Dust compensation – The smoke alarm now has a self-monitoring Dust Compensation mechanism which will allow the alarm to tolerate twice as much more dust contamination than a conventional optical alarm – reduces false alarms.
Smoke Alarm data extraction via AudioLINK – Like with commercial smoke detectors/fire alarm systems, real time data can now be easily extracted from our smoke alarm by simply using a smart phone or tablet and the free AudioLINK app.
Data extracted includes:
- Dust contamination level – Helps identify potential false alarms.
- No of times and when the alarm head has been removed from its base – a great feature for those applications where it is imperative to know if the alarm has/is been removed from its base
- Smoke alarm location & serial number – extremely beneficial if you (as the service provider) wants to keep a record of which alarm is installed where.
- How many times & the last date the alarm was tested – From a compliance perspective having the fact the alarm has been tested and is working could be beneficially.
- Alarm Age.
- Battery health.
